Easy to get to either by car, or train, our fun-filled 6 Night Family Adventure Holidays take place during the school holidays and are available to book during the school holidays throughout the year. There are so many activities included from canoeing & climbing to high ropes that you're guaranteed to make lots of memories and enjoy some much needed quality time. Activities take place both on & off-site so you'll get to see some of the amazing local scenery too (transport included)!
Our enthusiastic and qualified team put on a great itinerary and with lots of other like-minded families, it's a fantastic atmosphere! In the evenings, join in on the evening entertainment & relax in the on-site bar and many other social areas.

SIX NIGHT ITINERARY
SATURDAY
Your family adventure starts here! Arrive at High Adventure from 3pm, settle into your accommodation and take some time to explore the centre.
Dinner is served at 6pm, giving you the chance to meet some of the other families you'll be sharing your week with. Afterwards, we'll run through what's in store for the days ahead before the evening entertainment begins.
Our on-site bar and indoor and outdoor social spaces are available throughout your stay, so you can relax while the children make friends and get to know the centre.
SUNDAY
High Ropes & Watersports
After breakfast, it's time to get your holiday off to an adventurous start with a morning or afternoon on our High Ropes course.
You'll take on some of our favourite challenges, including the Leap of Faith, Jacob's Ladder and High All Aboard. Our experienced instructors will be there throughout, helping everyone challenge themselves at their own level. There's no pressure to be the bravest – it's all about having a go, supporting each other and having fun.
For the other half of the day, it's time to take to the water for Canoe Rafts and Giant SUPs. Work together, try some fun challenges and expect plenty of laughs as you find your balance on our giant stand-up paddleboards.
After an action-packed first day, head back to the centre for dinner, followed by evening entertainment.
MONDAY
Malham Cove & Gordale Scar Day
After breakfast, we'll set off to explore two of the most spectacular natural landmarks in the Yorkshire Dales: Malham Cove and Gordale Scar.
First, we'll visit Malham Cove, a dramatic limestone cliff rising around 260 feet above the surrounding landscape. This incredible location even featured in the Harry Potter films! You'll have the chance to walk to the top and enjoy fantastic views across the Dales.
We'll then follow the beautiful route past Janet's Foss, a picturesque waterfall hidden amongst the trees, before continuing towards Gordale Scar. This dramatic limestone ravine, with its towering cliffs and waterfalls, is one of the highlights of the area.
It's a brilliant day for experiencing the Yorkshire Dales together before returning to High Adventure to relax, enjoy dinner and join in with the evening entertainment.
TUESDAY
Raft Building, Archery & Bushcraft
Today brings another great mix of activities, starting with Raft Building.
Working together, you'll need to design and build a raft before putting your creation to the ultimate test on the water! It's a fantastic team challenge and usually comes with plenty of laughs, particularly when it's time to find out whose raft actually floats.
For the other half of the day, you'll try your hand at Archery and Bushcraft.
Learn how to safely use a bow and arrow, practise your aim and see who can hit the target before discovering some useful bushcraft skills with our instructors.
Then it's time to relax, enjoy dinner and settle in for another evening of entertainment.
WEDNESDAY
Local Adventure Walk & High Ropes
Today combines exploring the local countryside with another chance to take on some of High Adventure's most popular challenges.
For half of the day, we'll head out on a Local Adventure Walk, giving you the opportunity to discover more of the beautiful countryside surrounding the centre with your instructor.
The other half of the day takes you back onto our High Ropes course, but this time with a completely different set of challenges. Take on the Zip Wire, Crate Stack and Gladiator Challenge, with plenty of encouragement.
After another full day, you can take advantage of our Parents' Night Off service and enjoy a relaxing evening out at the local pub, while we entertain the children.
THURSDAY
Stream Scramble, Climbing & Abseiling
We're finishing the activity programme with a brilliant day of adventure.
For half of the day, get ready to get wet on our Stream Scramble. Wearing helmets and buoyancy aids, you'll explore our local stream system, scrambling your way along the water and taking on fun games and challenges as you go.
It's an exciting session that's all about having a go, overcoming challenges and encouraging each other – and a great way to build confidence while having lots of fun along the way.
For the other half of the day, you'll take on Climbing and Abseiling. With our instructors there to guide and encourage you, challenge yourself on the climbing wall before experiencing the thrill of abseiling back down.
Then it's back to the centre for your final dinner and evening entertainment together.
FRIDAY
Breakfast & Farewells
Enjoy your final breakfast at High Adventure before packing up and saying goodbye to your new friends.
Departure is by 11am, giving you plenty of time to start your journey home, hopefully with some brilliant memories, new friends and plenty of stories from your week of adventure.

6 Night Evening Programme
The planned evening programme includes campfire night with circus skills, nightline, a quiz night, a teambuilding/prob solving activities night and a labyrinth (indoor cave maze) & movie night for the kids on 'parents night off' giving adults a night off to visit local pub or just relax in the on-site bar area until around 10pm.

Unwind & sleep in your own private family room within our family friendly centre. We have twin rooms and larger dormitory style rooms with comfy beds & space to spread out in the various social spaces. You can opt for a private family room with en-suite or a private family room with shared toilets and showers close by. We did caving, climbing, canoeing, paddle boarding, raft building, high ropes, low ropes, zip wire, archery, abseiling, hiking and lots of opportunity to enjoy all of the beautiful scenery the local area has to offer.
